I agree to send the email before hand.  I would not, however, mention that you googled them and that you know what’s going on.  I would more so “see the soul” and offer that you truly care about them and “whatever they are going through” however I want to offer that telling them you googled them may actually trigger them.

If you are showing up with love, kindness, and guidelines (ie. Love having you, don’t sit next to me to avoid pics).. then you are showing up.  It’s not so much about what exactly they are going through.. it’s more that they are going through something challenging and that you are there for them. Perhaps I caution that you don’t want to make them feel singled out.. especially if they are feeling overwhelmed by the media and spotlight. 

 Everyone is there for immense healing work.  

If they ask “did you google me” then of course be truthful.

But this was infamous. The man had told me that he had to visit his father in jail. And I am constantly checking my lens to be compassionate and see where society would want to shame and judge the situation.

06:28:44	Veronica Jensen:	I volunteer on the leadership board of a women's organization, and we've learned the hard way that we need to be *very* clear that our stance is that trans women are women, and our organization unequivocally welcomes our trans sisters. Trans women themselves understood our verbiage of "We welcome ALL women," but those who self-refer as gender-criticalists or gender-essentialists don't understand that we're inclusive. And we know that some women won't feel comfortable in our space, so it's important for us to be clear no matter what.
