I LOVE summer <3 00:06:05 Essie Richards: I had 4 re-signs from my first time of working with coaching clients 00:06:29 Nell Reid: going to pick up my son early from his first session at sleepaway camp b/c he was so homesick - I had him try to eek it out a little longer and he did and then still wanted to come home... I feel like I handled it all well. 00:06:37 Sidsel Nelund (Si-sel - she/her): Getting a new office on Thursday, we're moving into our new house <3 00:07:06 Aiyana McKenzie: There have been some wonderful people wanting to work with my partner and I. We have made wonderful connections and the healings we have given have gone very well. 00:07:07 AJ Frenzel: Taking real vacation AND working with great returns on carrying those Vacation Feels into daily life. - Working with my coaching buddy on this! 00:07:22 Aiyana McKenzie: I also got to meet Barbara (my coaching partner here) in person 00:07:23 Lara Storm: All the great opportunities to practice coaching, which is building up my confidence as I prepare to begin recruiting actual clients. 00:07:55 Barbara Daughter: Yes it was great to meet Aiyana in person <3 ! 00:08:49 Carla Sanders: I cleaned my office, and I am sitting at my desk now for the first time in months! 00:09:19 AJ Frenzel: I’m back 1.5 weeks from that vacay and still able to connect with the lightness and go-with-the-flow of letting go of the familiar grind that is so easy to drop back into. 00:11:54 amy palatnick: “you are what you eat" 00:13:37 Joanna Lindenbaum (she/her): Thoughts or internal recordings & messaging that persistently or semi-persistently run through your mind that hurt you in some way. 00:17:30 Aiyana McKenzie: I was raised in an atmosphere of extreme catastrophic thinking. It was intensely pushed on us as 'reality.’ I definitely picked it up and part of me has this (and I have been working with it) 00:18:36 Aiyana McKenzie: Yes, it feels like rapid machine gun fire or avalanches as a reflex before I even step into awareness 00:18:51 Amy Palatnick: insidious. 00:19:07 Joli Knott: @Aiyana 💚💛💙💜 00:19:16 Barbara Daughter: I don't hear a lot of negative thinking in my mind but I think they’re operating in the background 00:19:33 Barbara Daughter: (((Aiyana))) 00:20:39 Aiyana McKenzie: @Joli and Barbara Thank you. I feel your love 00:27:52 Vlada Tomova: Happy to join everyone live on the call again post long work and vaccination trip in Europe! So glad to be her ❤️ such great content! I want to celebrate recognizing one of my prevailing copying mechanisms when in fear and growth - creating an overwhelm by getting involved in too much of everything! Projects, ideas, friends, material things, love prospective partners .. I am having difficulty sitting in the discomfort of committing to fewer, selected pieces .. and calming down to spend the time to make my selections. I commit to learning how to go through this process. 00:30:22 Aiyana McKenzie: Welcome home, Vlada! Great to have you here 🙂 00:30:54 Joli Knott: Love this question, @Sidsel! 00:31:26 Vlada Tomova: Thank you 🫶🏽 00:31:35 AJ Frenzel: Vlada! I so resonate with that pattern of inviting or creating overwhelm by over committing to other realms. 00:33:29 Barbara Daughter: right there with you @Vlada & AJ! 00:34:13 Joanna Lindenbaum (she/her): “The New Earth” by Eckhart Tolle 00:34:19 Vlada Tomova: @AJ @Barbara .. learning from all of our wisdom here 00:37:11 Amy Palatnick: this gets called "spiritual bypassing" sometimes 00:37:41 Vlada Tomova: trying to figure out what are the best pieces to choose and follow and commit to .. I missed if it was @Joli that asked a question about how to navigate that process - will re-listen 00:37:55 Brenda: Depends on the day and what is going on -- 00:38:03 Deva Munay: In general I think it is low, but at the moment I've had an issue that has spiked it into an 8 00:38:13 AJ Frenzel: a year ago I would have said 10. Now closer to 4 00:38:36 Barbara Daughter: How active it is really depends on a number of factors ... how much sleep I didn't get (lol) … but usually it's on the low side for me 00:38:37 Vlada Tomova: 4 on average day .. could go to 6 00:39:08 Barbara Daughter: more anxiety adds to the baseline number (for me) 00:39:47 Carla Sanders: I seem to be the only one in my life thinking on these terms re negative thoughts and shifting. I feel on my own with this. 00:40:46 Barbara Daughter: @ Carla - do you mean everyone else is attached to their negative thought patterns and you're not? Curious to hear more … 00:40:55 Amy Palatnick: oh i love that! a miracle is a shift in perception. ****!!!! 00:41:30 Aiyana McKenzie: I have read the Course in Miracles, and that quote was my favorite in all three books 00:44:30 Carla Sanders: @ Barbara -- I notice my negative thought patterns and work on them and no one else is offering to help, with or without permission from me. and that is not an accurate statement. My partner is able to be present with me when I am open enough to share. 00:45:31 Vlada Tomova: I just witnessed someone having a shift in their perception about intimacy and intimate commitment - they suddenly became a radiating, light, glowing with a smile and internal spark person .. so beautiful 😍 00:47:21 Barbara Daughter: @Carla - glad you're seeing some support from your partner ... and on the virtual level, I'm happy to support you 🙂 00:47:42 Amy Palatnick: @aiyana, amazing story and application into your life!! <3 00:47:52 Sidsel Nelund (Si-sel - she/her): I used to see myself as an outsider in my field (which wasn’t true), now I see myself as occupying a unique place of me-ness in the ecosystem of my sy 00:48:04 Sidsel Nelund (Si-sel - she/her): *my field 00:49:15 Barbara Daughter: Joanna - love that suggestion for Aiyana 00:49:16 AJ Frenzel: @Sidsel that is a beautifully inspiring perception 00:49:42 Amy Palatnick: loving carla's tarantula!! 00:50:10 Joli Knott: Love this insight, @Carla! 00:51:48 Carla Sanders: @Barbara it was my partner telling story that opened my doors of perception re 6th house. 00:52:02 Vlada Tomova: @Aiyana @Sidsel @Carla .. thank you! priceless to me 00:53:16 Kelly Lubeck (she/her): Yes, Aiyana, Sidsel and Carla, such wonderful shares and reflections! Thank you 🙏🏼 00:53:25 Carla Sanders: ❤️ to all. Y’all are on fire. 00:53:44 Barbara Daughter: <3 @ Carla! 00:54:19 Joli Knott: Side note--this is why walking on the sand is so good for us! The brain cannot predict how your feet will fall and so it makes your brain have to work on the go!! 00:54:43 Amy Palatnick: @joli, how cool! i bet walking barefoot on the earth is similar. <3 00:54:50 Aiyana McKenzie: That is awesome, Joli! I LOVE walking on sand barefoot. 00:55:06 Aiyana McKenzie: So wonderful to work with children this way, Barbara! 00:55:09 Carla Sanders: @Joli, that is part of my hip physical therapy. Beach walk. Now finding a sandy beach in Maine.... 00:55:20 Joli Knott: Wherever there is an uneven surface--and yes, barefoot is key 🙂 00:55:44 Sidsel Nelund (Si-sel - she/her): Beeming love here from the resonance across. That’s amazing, Joli! Precious to live by the beach 00:55:50 Aiyana McKenzie: I healed a badly sprained and broken ankle by walking on sand (after the initial healing so I could put weight on it) It worked! 00:56:03 Kelly Lubeck (she/her): Yes, @Joli, it's really helpful for brain development - part of why getting children in forrest and other nature settings as their brains are so fast developing is so helpful for brain development- and for us too! 00:57:19 Joli Knott: @everyone 🙏🏽💙 00:58:37 Deva Munay: can you please put these in the chat!? thank you. 00:59:05 Aiyana McKenzie: yes, our beliefs ARE the medicine 00:59:12 Barbara Daughter: There's also the "nocebo" effect -- which would describe the hair loss for those not receiving chemo 00:59:34 Joanna Lindenbaum (she/her): “The Brain the Changes Itself” by Norman Doidge 00:59:56 Joanna Lindenbaum (she/her): In nine double-blind studies comparing placebos to aspirin, placebos proved to be 54 percent as effective as the actual analgesic. From this, one might expect that placebos would be even less effective when compared to a much stronger painkiller such as morphine, but this is not the case. In six double-blind studies placebos were found to be 56 percent as effective as morphine in relieving pain.” 2)Here’s another example: In a recent study of a new kind of chemotherapy, 30 percent of the individuals in the control group, the group given placebos, lost their hair. 3) Liron Rozenkrantz and team told participants that sniffing a special odor would boost their creativity, even though it was merely a placebo smell. After sniffing the scent, participants demonstrated greater creativity. 01:00:39 Joanna Lindenbaum (she/her): We'll be back at 1:05pm ET 01:04:51 Kelly Lubeck (she/her): Would someone be willing to download the chat and email to me? I didn't realize I was so late! (I thought I was 6 min late but missed that today was a 2 hour call)... this huge move and all of the details have stretched my brain capacity! (now that we're finally here, I’m looking forward to having our stuff and getting organized again soon…) 01:05:26 Kelly Lubeck (she/her): So glad to be here, so sorry to be so late! 01:07:48 Barbara Daughter: @Kelly -- the chat gets saved & posted on the recordings page, I'm pretty sure 01:10:14 Kelly Lubeck (she/her): Oh, ok, thanks, Barbara! 01:11:45 Amy Palatnick: that sounds like a should vs. desire situation 01:12:20 Vlada Tomova: I used to be impatient and try to prod and push the people around me towards change .. it is helpful to think of slowing down to speed up later - so working to create awareness would be a great way to approach that 01:12:30 Joli Knott: This reminds me of Byron Katie's The Work and the 4 questions: Is it true? Can you absolutely know that it’s true? How do you react when you believe that thought? Who would you be without the thought? 01:13:01 Carla Sanders: Thanks for awareness that negative thoughts can be simple erroneous assumptions and not the crushing trauma-induced beliefs that some of us work on our whole lives. 01:22:30 AJ Frenzel: Fortune telling- something I've been actively working on w my therapist. A “bad" morning doesn't mean a bad day. It can just be a rough morning. 01:23:16 Barbara Daughter: “personalization" weaves into spiritual bypassing … 01:23:16 Alta Felix: That has happened to me 01:24:41 Aiyana McKenzie: all or nothing and mental filtering are probably my top patterns 01:26:27 Deva Munay: I’m not wanted I’m never going to be good enough to be LOVED I’m more of a hassle than I am worth having I’m in trouble – I fucked up 01:26:52 Lisa Scott: Can I really make a living doing work I love 01:26:54 Amy Palatnick: I do too many things, none thoroughly enough 01:26:58 Alta Felix: - Everyone is going to judge me o Visibility - I am going to mess up and be ridiculed 01:27:15 Aiyana McKenzie: I’ll never be good enough is a top persistent thought for me too 01:27:19 Essie she/they: I’ll have to sacrifice connection if I want to be successful 01:27:28 Barbara Daughter: I am not consistent enough to create the life I want 01:28:14 Brenda: Everyone is going to judge me and then I will be alone or not included 01:28:16 Aiyana McKenzie: A persistent underlying feeling is that there is an outside all powerful authority watching my every move and thought and looking for every opportunity to crush me/punish me/ take away the good I'm creating. I am curious about the thoughts related to this 01:28:19 Amy Palatnick: here is a funny one of mine: I’m not as great as i think I am 01:28:32 Aiyana McKenzie: I love that, Amy 😄 01:28:45 Alta Felix: everyone is going to judge me and that feels like a death sentence for my career I'm going to be messed up and be ridiculed and then I will never be invited to speak on big platforms 01:29:06 AJ Frenzel: Letting to of anxiety/masking will show others that I'm really the lazy person I already think I am. 01:45:09 Aiyana McKenzie: I did not receive answers from that visualization. I got feelings of being really hot and uncomfortable, sweaty and itchy and sad and angry. then I felt really tired like I could fall asleep in this moment. No answers though. Curious how to move forward with this for self and clients who may have a similar experience of not receiving answers when they ask in visualization. 01:45:27 Brenda: Is this format of questions in a handout? 01:47:19 Barbara Daughter: Yes that would be helpful to have this in a handout 01:47:43 Aiyana McKenzie: Your vulnerability feels beautiful, Vlada. Thank you 01:48:17 Kelly Lubeck (she/her): Thank you, Vlada, witnessing you and this beautiful healing… 01:48:55 Joli Knott: @Vlada Thank you for sharing and sending 💙💜💚 01:49:36 Barbara Daughter: ❤️ Vlada ❤️ 01:50:14 pollymolly: Vlada, big hug❤️ 01:50:54 Layne Mosler: we inherit thought forms as we inherit genes - this is so beautiful, Deva. 01:51:35 Barbara Daughter: yes I traced this thought pattern back to my mother's father's lineage, going back generations 01:51:54 Aiyana McKenzie: Yes, Deva. Beautiful how we can change our thought forms and also our genes 01:52:02 Joli Knott: Thank you for your share @Deva 🙏🏽💙 01:52:02 Vlada Tomova: Everyone - thank you for letting me share .. I am grateful to realize that this armor is now OUTSIDE of me, NOT ON my body anymore! I can now visualize that my body is actually growing vines and flowering !!! 01:52:30 Kelly Lubeck (she/her): So so true, Deva, these patterns get carried througout the generations. Such beautiful wisdom you gathered... thank you, and witnessing you. 01:52:56 Barbara Daughter: that's beautiful @Vlada 01:53:18 Amy Palatnick: heat/sadness etc seems like a proprioceptive answer 01:53:43 Vlada Tomova: @Aiyana …I was feeling sweaty, very uncomfortable and wanted to escape as well during visualization 01:53:48 Amy Palatnick: i LOVE this about Joanna's way of working--support everything. 01:56:27 Kelly Lubeck (she/her): In shamanic terms, when doing soul retrieval work, we work with gatekeepers when we journey (another form of visualization, soul level). If the gatekeeper doesn't give permission to pass through and go into the place of wounding or separation (or of soul retrieval, of course), practitioner doesn't go any further. I’ve found that when I journey, or clients journey, and get too tired or don't see things, or things suddenly get blurry, it feels like a form of gatekeeping. It feels like the system (nervous system, energetic system, etc. keeping the rhythm that works and is safe... good body wisdom…) 01:57:29 Amy Palatnick: @kelly, in processwork this is considered an "edge" --we are at the edge of a new awareness, or a new part of ourselves emerging, and all kinds of body symptoms etc come up. 01:58:12 Kelly Lubeck (she/her): @amy, love that - I so want to connect with you on processwork! 01:59:17 Joli Knott: Love these nuggets of wisdom and knowledge--thank you @Kelly and @Amy 🤩 01:59:54 Amy Palatnick: <3 @joli and @kelly and @everyone! 02:01:49 Aiyana McKenzie: I have to go. Thank you so much! Wishing everyone here a wonderful day! 02:02:17 Barbara Daughter: that's really helpful @Kelly 02:02:27 Barbara Daughter: yes so many nuggets of wisdom here! 02:03:10 Amy Palatnick: @sidsel, mine was very similar, about my sister, who lives in me as a critic voice. 02:04:18 Vlada Tomova: Taking away - the FEELING (energetics) is the important part about creating change with mantras and new thoughts 02:04:44 Carla Sanders: takeaway: listen for the negative thought patterns and use all the tools to bring awareness and support client to shift. Feels so good. Also got some awareness around my own NTPs. That visualization was potent! 02:06:27 Barbara Daughter: yes that visualization was powerful for me as well. I see opportunity to shift in a new way! 02:06:27 Vlada Tomova: take away 2 - negative thoughts often pass SO fast, almost unnoticeable, but leave a sensation in us 02:07:18 Barbara Daughter: yes @Vlada ... I have noticed that in others through this learning 02:08:19 pollymolly: so powerful too Sidsel! Thank you for sharing❤️ 02:08:22 AJ Frenzel: I’ve just identified that each time a Higher Wisdom is answering for me is so clearly my intuition. Inviting myself to follow into the intuitive knowing. It feels like I could work to maintain this direct access to my spiritual voice of truth. 02:10:00 Carla Sanders: Taking off now! Thank you all! 02:10:41 Joli Knott: Thank you for today!
